first, ricki lake joins us live from los angeles. i want to point that out, because it's 5:30 in the morning there. >> yeah, yeah, it is. but i'm so happy to be with you. >> we're happy you're here, too. welcome back to television. >> thank you. >> tell us about the new show. >> thank you. the new show is the elevated upgraded version of my old show. the catch phrase is, you're not the same person you were in the '90s and neither is she. the show is really, you know, sort of this new place in my life, and in many ways, i had no business back then in the day hosting my own show at 24 years old. i didn't know who i was. i didn't have any point of view and i feel like with age i've gotten to this place where i'm not exactly there yet, but i've figured a lot of stuff out. i'm grateful to be doing a show i think women will want to watch. >> i know the thinking here is that because women, women have always been able to relate to you and they've grown along with you on this journey. so i guess the thinking is they can still relate to, and y
